The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

This is a heavenly place simply to sit and watch the woodland and spend time with friends and family, but you’re also perfectly situated for exploring the delights of Norfolk.  There are many walks from your door.  Explore the woodland, walk the Castle Acre Circular walk, or for more serious hikers, the Peddars Way and the Nar Valley Way are both nearby.  Norfolk is great for cycling - road cycling as well as trails on bridleways and tracks, and there are even some bike trails through the woods.  Five of the UK’s cleanest beaches are within 45 minutes of the woods - Hunstanton, Thornham, Burnham and Holkham beaches are all an easy drive away.  The River Nar is nearby and is a great (albeit chilly!) place for a dip.  And if you’re a fishing enthusiast, the river is stocked with small brown trout and day tickets can be organised if you want to fly fish here.  Nature aside, this part of Norfolk is well stocked with many excellent pubs and home to some fantastic breweries with the nearby village of West Acre having its very own brewery.
