Unique Glamping Site for Large Groups in Bradmoor Woods
Unique glamping accommodation for large groups in a wild location set in acres of mature Norfolk woodland. Just a short drive from the market town of Swaffham, this glampsite is made up of a collection of specially built unique camping structures including bird houses, silos & railway carriages. Ideal for large gatherings of friends and family, celebrations and retreats.
Bradmoor Woods is heaven for those in search of some peace and tranquility. Off grid and eco friendly, here you can gather a large group of friends and family in glamping comfort! If you’re lucky, you might see deer, foxes and badgers, as well as many types of birdlife, and aquatic life alongside the River Nar which runs through the woodland.
Bradmoor Woods is a heavenly place simply to sit and watch the woodland and spend time with friends and family, but you’re also perfectly situated for exploring the delights of Norfolk. There are many walks from your door. Explore the woodland, walk the Castle Acre Circular walk, or for more serious hikers, the Peddars Way and the Nar Valley Way are both nearby. Norfolk is great for cycling - road cycling as well as trails on bridleways and tracks, and there are even some bike trails through the woods. Five of the UK’s cleanest beaches are within 45 minutes of the woods - Hunstanton, Thornham, Burnham and Holkham beaches are all an easy drive away. The River Nar is nearby Bradmoor Woods and is a great (albeit chilly!) place for a dip. And if you’re a fishing enthusiast, the river is stocked with small brown trout and day tickets can be organised if you want to fly fish here. Nature aside, this part of Norfolk is well stocked with many excellent pubs and home to some fantastic breweries, with the nearby village of West Acre having its very own brewery.

Interior Details
There are five A frame Bird Houses made from wood and canvas and are dotted amongst the trees behind the communal Meeting House. Each one can sleep two people. There are three Railway Carriages, one of which can sleep 2 in a double bed, the second sleeps up 3 with one double bed plus one small bed for a child, and the carriage has a double bed and bunk beds sleeping 4. The original Railway Carriage on the site was bought from the Station Master at Swaffham Station. All the Railway Carriages have solid wood panelling, large glass windows and classic French enamel stoves. There are also two Silos, originally used as grain storage on one of the estate farms and now completely redesigned as fully insulated and wood lined sleeping structures with a french enamel stove, each with a king sized bed, a small single, and floor space for a child bed or travel cot. There is a Dorm Teepee, a large wooden structure which can sleep up to eight people in one double and six single beds, all centred around a cosy wood burning stove. And last but not least, Zenia, The Upturned Boat - a hut with a reclaimed boat hull as a roof, which can sleep up to four people (a double bed at either end) - once you’ve climbed up the ladders into the beds! Zenia also has a classic French enamel stove, a table to sit around and some old theatre seats.
The timber Round House is a big open space for lounging, dining, playing games (and sheltering from the weather!). The sitting room teepee is adjacent to the Round House and has a log burner, which is a great cosy hang out spot. Both areas are the hub of the site where everyone tends to gather, and is home to the camp kitchen. The camp kitchen has three sinks (one with hot water) and three double gas burners, as well as masses of crockery, cutlery and utensils. The shower and loo block is a fantastic structure which looks like a fairground carousel. It has four flushable loos and four showers. Water comes from a borehole and the showers (and kitchen) are solar powered.
