It’s a glorious oasis of peace and quiet for your glamping in England, the perfect romantic hideaway, yet just a five minute drive to the nearest beach and a 10 minute drive to Truro. If you're in search of unique romantic getaways, then this is the perfect place to enjoy being off grid and marvel at the great outdoors.
The shepherd’s hut was locally handcrafted by Pumphrey and Weston and has glorious views over open countryside. The working farm where the hut is situated is located between Truro and Falmouth in a quiet valley. As unique stays in Cornwall go, it’s the perfect base from which to explore. What is more, there’s plenty to do locally without using your car - numerous walks directly from the farm leading to Looe beach, the Carrick Roads, Cowlands Creek, Point Quay, and not least the local pub, The Punchbowl and Ladle in Penelewey. Also on site is a small six van campsite and a detached converted barn which sleeps four people.
If you can drag yourself away from the peace and quiet of the farm there’s masses to do in the surrounding area. Looe Beach is a 5 minute drive, where you can go swimming, or hire a kayak or paddleboard. Explore Truro, Cornwall’s capital, with its impressive cathedral, boutique shops and a wide variety of places to eat and drink. Local cycle and footpaths abound, and the National Trust Trelissick Gardens are nearby. You can take a ferry to the Roseland Peninsula or over to Falmouth, you can learn to surf, explore St Michael’s Mount, or visit the Eden project near St Austell. The list is endless!

Interior Details
Inside the hut there’s a comfy double bed and a living and kitchen area with a woodburner. The kitchen is well stocked with kettle, toaster, a small fridge, and a two ring hob. Towels and bedding are provided. The toilet and shower are a one minute walk away in a separate unit. There is also an outdoor shower on the side of the hut.
Exterior Details
Outside the hut there’s a firepit and plenty of seating, and wonderful views over the countryside so you can sit and enjoy the variety of birdlife and wildlife which you’re sharing your space with. There’s parking next to the hut.
