For a long time now there has been a serious divide between people who enjoy getting down and dirty in a good old-fashioned tent and those who would prefer to stay in a luxurious cottage with all the comforts of home. But the last few years have seen the growth in popularity of a thing called ‘glamping’ so at last we have a middle ground – ‘luxury camping’. Glamping has become incredibly popular, because you can enjoy all the wonderful things about camping (the simple life, the proximity to nature, the carefree atmosphere) without making you go for days on end without the things that make you tick (a hot shower, a comfy bed, somewhere to apply your make up).
One thing’s for sure, glamping has something to offer everyone. For a start, it’s hard to beat as a romantic retreat. Could there be anything dreamier than whisking away a loved one to a place where you can snuggle up by a wood-burner, drink a bottle of wine beneath the clear, starry sky and leave all your stresses and distractions behind? Glamping is also perfect for a family holiday – children will be in seventh heaven! It gives everyone the chance to enjoy wildlife and natural surroundings while still being able to look forward to a safe and snuggly bed at the end of a day of adventure. One of the many advantages of a glamping trip is that whoever you take, you will always leave feeling that you have genuinely spent valuable time in each other’s company, without any of the usual disruptions getting in the way.
