Resting on the banks of Loch Katrine in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Stronachlachar Lodge is a unique six bedroom holiday house which offers cosy open log fires, beautiful contemporary living spaces and superb views across the water.
Furnished to a very high standard to combine the traditional and the modern, the lodge is a restful and comfortable base in which to relax and unwind with family and friends. The accommodation is elegant and beautifully thought out, the walls are adorned with artwork that depicts the local area, and the setting, on the pier from where the Sir Walter Scott Steamship departs on daily trips around the loch, is peaceful and picturesque in equal measure. Come and experience this wonderful, unspoilt corner of Scotland in stylish and spacious surroundings.
This area is a very popular destination for walkers and cyclists, and permits are available for angling. The nearby village of Aberfoyle offers a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, and there are lots of excellent golf courses in the region. Loch Lomond, with its championship golf courses, aquarium and water sports, is easily accessible by car, and the cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling are also perfectly placed for day trips. There’s something for everyone to enjoy here, whether you want to take a boat trip, explore the loch on foot, horse ride or cycle along the Loch Ard Sculpture Trail, do yoga by the water, go clay pigeon shooting, relax in the spa or get the adrenaline pumping on the back of a quad bike or the side of a cliff.
Stirling is the nearest railway station and Glasgow Airport is about 1 hour away. If you’re driving, take the A84 from Stirling and follow the road for 5 miles past Blair Drummond Safari Park. Take a left to follow the A873 to Thornhill. Continue on the road past the Lake of Monteith, until you reach Aberfoyle. From Aberfoyle, take the B829 through Kinlochard. Follow the road for approximately 10 miles until you reach a T-junction. Turn right. Approximately half a mile down the hill, you will find Stronachlachar Lodge on the left side just before the pier.
