General Info
Bask in the sunshine on the balcony and gaze out across the river to see if you can spot a kingfisher or heron. This magical, riverside holiday home, which sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms, is perfectly placed for anyone seeking the tranquillity of a semi rural setting, as well as proximity to shops, cafes, restaurants and other town centre amenities. Wander less than 0.5 miles into town to go to the indoor market, cinema or theatre, as well as art galleries. Stroll along beside the River Usk to a spot where you can hire canoes or wander in the other direction to book a day boat. Indulge in mountain walks and follow cycle trails through the Brecon Beacons. Make your way into the cottage and climb a few steps up into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Beautifully designed, with an oak floor, sloping ceilings, contemporary furniture and furnishings, and a splash of colour here and there, this has everything you need for a relaxing stay. On sunny days, pull open the bi folding doors on to the balcony and sit out enjoying the fine views and when the weather is colder snuggle up in front of the real effect wood burner and settle down to a film on TV. A luxury swivel armchair allows you the best of both views, a quick glance at the TV then swivel to be facing outdoors. Cook hearty meals in your fully equipped kitchen area, offering casual seating at the breakfast bar or for more formal dining there's a large table with seating for 6 guests. Two reading chairs are situated in close proximity to the well stocked bookcase, a lovely place to settle down with a good book. A WC can also be found on this level. The rest of your accommodation can be found on the floor below. Follow the stairs down to a hall or study area, as well as to your two enticing bedrooms, a king size and a zip and link king size (which can be made into a twin on request with 2 6 beds), and the family bathroom, which has a walk in shower, as well as a bath and WC. The utility room, with useful washer/dryer, is at this level too. Take a bottle of chilled wine or a cup of fresh coffee out on to the balcony. While away the hours looking for otters and other creatures that live along the river beds. On very hot days, use the remote control to open the awning and create an area of cool shade. Parking for two medium sized cars is available.
