This modern villa is located in a rural location just a few minutes drive from the delightful coastal town of Sao Martinho do Porto in central Portugal.  It’s walking distance to the beach and restaurants (and a short drive to many more), has a private pool, and is perfect for those in search of longer stays at any time of year.

General Info

An ideal location for those wanting to explore and experience central Portugal and the Silver Coast.  The villa is just perfect for longer lets for those who can work remotely, who want to escape a chilly winter, or who are just looking for a change of scene, and the monthly prices are extremely reasonable, but the villa is also available to let by the week for those with less time.  The villa is less than one hour from Lisbon and the airport and is in a tiny hamlet called Venda Nova.  It’s a 15 minute walk to the huge Salgado beach, and there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance as well as over 30 more within a 5 minute drive.  It’s a 10 minute drive to the marina, town and beaches at Nazare.  For the walkers, there are many which start right from the house itself.  Lots to explore in the vicinity.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

There’s masses to see and do in the surrounding area.  The nearest town, São Martinho do Porto, is 4km away and has a very safe sandy beach and a shell shaped bay.  Lots of cafes and restaurants.  The beach at Foz do Arelho is a natural wonder. To one side of the large sandy strip is the Atlantic Ocean, to the other side are the tranquil waters of the Óbidos Lagoon.  It’s a popular spot for watersports including kite surfing, kayaking and swimming.  Again, lots of beach bars and restaurants.  Pay a visit to the delightful town of Óbidos, with its white houses and Moorish vibe.  Take a 15 minute drive south to reach Caldas da Rainha, a famous spa town with thermal springs, markets and supermarkets.  Alcobaça is a delightful historic town about 30 mins from the villa with an incredible monastery.  Or perhaps take a visit to Nazaré, 10 mins drive north of the villa along a cliff road with stunning coastal views.  Lots of places to eat and drink, and a funicular railway to Sitio at the top of the cliffs.

Interior Details
The detached and fully walled gated villa has been recently built and is in excellent condition.  It has three bedrooms and can sleep up to six people.  The two upstairs king size bedrooms both have en suite bathrooms and patio door access to a sun terrace.   The third bedroom (a super king) is on the ground floor with use of a family bathroom.  There is an open plan sitting room / dining room kitchen which has patio doors on two sides into the garden.  All the windows have electric shutters and all rooms have air conditioning and heating.  There is a pellet stove to add warmth in the cooler months.  Wifi throughout, portable Bluetooth speaker, and a 55" Smart TV.  There is a single carport with electric gates.

Exterior Details
Outside there’s a garden with a solar heated pool (fully walled and gated).  BBQ, table and chairs for eating al fresco.

Conditions of Rental
Rates are per week or per month and inclusive of IVA tax.  Rate is for the whole villa which sleeps six and includes linen, towels, internet, TV and water.  Utilities are all included, but pellets for the salamander are not included.  Mid stay cleaning is included for longer lets.  Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am.  Sorry, no pets.
