Nestled in the quaint fishing village of Staithes is this cosy cottage, rich in history and just a few steps from the beach ideal for families.
General Info
Staithes is a pretty, traditional fishing village with bundles of charm located 10 miles north of Whitby and offers an idyllic location for a seaside escape. The village boasts some of the narrowest cobbled streets in the north and has a network of ginnels, nooks, and winding streets. There is plenty to see and do with pubs, cafes, shops, art galleries, and a fish smokehouse. The village hosts real ale and jazz festivals during the year and attracts many visitors. For those wishing to take to the water, there are regular boat trips to Whitby from Staithes, or try your hand at crabbing off the quay. There are also many walks around the area along the Cleveland Way clifftops and over to Whitby. A wonderful location for a holiday with family or friends. Step into this cosy and charming three storey cottage just metres away from the beach. You will be find a traditional style cottage interior with wooden floors, a beamed ceiling, and a working original fireplace. Sit on the comfortable sofa and unwind whilst watching a film on the Smart TV. Dine around the table at mealtimes before heading out for the day. Take the stone twist steps down to find the contemporary kitchen complete with a breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook up a storm, with electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. From the lounge, venture up the stairs, on the first floor is a spacious double room, a single room, and a bathroom with a bath/shower over and WC. Open the landing door to find another set of steps (mind your head on the way up!) and you'll discover a triple room excellent for children. A parking permit is provided for one car at the public car park (Bank Top) at the top of the village (within 500 metres) with additional pay and display parking (long stay available). Please note that this property is not suitable for the less mobile due to the steep incline in and out of the village and some steep stairs and low ceilings in the property.

3 bedrooms 1 double, 1 single and a triple room with singles. 1 bathroom shower over bath and WC sloped ceiling in shower area. Electric hob and fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Travel cot and highchair. Smart TV in the lounge. Open fire (first basket of logs provided). Permit for one car at the car park at the top of the village within 500 metres additional pay and display available (long stay rates) steep incline hill in/out of the village. Beach, pub, shops, and restaurants within a very short walk. PLEASE NOTE: there are original uneven stone stairs down to the kitchen, infants should be supervised. Please note that this property is not suitable for the less mobile due to the steep incline in and out of the village and some steep stairs and low ceilings in the property.
