One-Off Feature
The best holidays are those that dish out relaxation and fun in equal measure, and this wonderful eco home in the rural village of St Buryan in Cornwall does exactly that. Think bright and airy living areas, comfy bedrooms and oodles of space for in and outdoor entertainment, all with the backdrop of stunning sea and countryside views, and you’ll be spot on! Horizon View sits in a beautifully peaceful part of the Cornish countryside just 10 minutes’ drive from Porthcurno beach. Designed with families and couples in mind, its layout is perfect for bringing everyone together whether lazing in the sunshine on the terrace with a barbecue and drinks, or hanging out in the fabulous summer house with its hot tub and huge television..
General Info
Offering families a really versatile use of space, the home has a wonderful lounge with large L-shaped reclining sofa and flat screen TV. This room is separated from the main living / cooking area by a sliding door which can either be opened up to create a massive entertainment space, or closed off so children and teens can kick back in their own den while parents enjoy a bit of grown-up socialising. Open plan and airy, the kitchen/dining area features an enormous flat screen TV as well as a comfy sofa from which to enjoy those magnificent far-reaching views. This is where you’ll want to spend most of your time hanging out, and there’s a smattering of drama too in the form of a fabulous roof light which looks even more magical at nighttime when the room’s LED’s are switched on.

Cooks will be pleased to know that the kitchen at Horizon View is well-equipped to handle any complicated creation they may wish to throw at it, and its breakfast bar will help keep the conversation flowing during the veg prep. The panoramic sea views from here are quite spectacular too, so rustling up those delicious suppers of yours will feel anything but a chore and you may even be able to rope in some extra hands…

Of course, holidays are all about rejuvenation, so there are three lovely bedrooms upstairs for those all-important deep nights of sleep. These include a spacious en-suite master with king size bed, a second king (both with integrated wardrobes), and a smaller third bedroom which has a comfortable single bed and single-sleeper sofa-bed for tots. A selection of toys and games as well as Smart TV’s in every room, mean there’s plenty to keep children and adults entertained (even when the weather's not playing ball), and a slew of wonderful walks in the area offer outdoor adventure no matter what time of year.

The charming village of St Buryan with its pretty granite cottages sits just 5 miles west of Penzance on the West Penwith Peninsula. Its rural location means that the village centres largely around its agriculture, so there really is a wonderful feeling to the place of being truly away from it all. It does however have its own (very good) pub and is within really easy reach of some of west Cornwall’s best beaches like Porthcurno, Porthgwarra and Porthchapel so if you’re after a sun-filled holiday spent lazing on the sand or paddling turquoise water, the village is superbly placed for it. Remote yes, isolated no. Penzance is just 15 minutes’ drive away, so if you’re in need of a grocery top up or if you fancy having lunch and a stroll through town, it couldn’t be easier.

*All of the Smart TV's within the property are wired which means superfast internet connection
