Step out of your back door and directly onto Chesil Beach during your stay at this charming fisherman s cottage. The Isle of Portland is bursting with fantastic attractions to keep you busy during your break. Walk around Portland Castle, explore Tout Quarry Sculpture Park, or take the kids along to the community led Fancy s Family Farm, all within 1.5 miles. If you love an active break, get involved in the water sports on offer Chesil Beach is famous for kitesurfing or you could try diving or sailing around the isle. Over on the mainland, you can find beautiful Weymouth town, 6 miles from the cottage, which offers a choice of bars, pubs and shops as well as wonderful attractions like the Sealife Centre, two RSPB reserves and Bennetts Water Gardens. The cottage is accessed via a private path from the road, which leads to the entrance door. Once inside you are met with a welcoming dining room, complete with beautiful exposed stone walls and a wood burner. To the left is 3 steps into the lounge, which has comfortable sofas, wood burner, characterful beams and a Smart TV. Heading across the dining room you will come to the galley style kitchen accessed via one step, which is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and washing machine. A useful shower room with WC leads from this room. Beside the lounge is a narrow cottage style staircase rising to the first floor. Here there is a shower room with WC and two bedrooms to choose from: a dramatic super king size four poster bed and a comfortable king size room. (The king sized bedroom and shower room are accessed via to steps) A further flight of narrow cottage style stairs lead up to the second floor and a cosy twin bedroom. Due to its setting within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height, which only adds to its character and charm. From the kitchen, a door leads into a compact enclosed courtyard with space for two to enjoy a morning coffee or perhaps a sundowner. Off road parking for 2 cars and ample roadside parking can be found in the surrounding streets (subject to availability). Please note there is one step up to the kitchen and two steps down into the lounge.
