Walking routes nearby include Glyndwr’s Way or, just 7 miles away, the town of Machynlleth – the ancient capital of Wales − has a quirky vibe and is a great destination for antique stores, art galleries and alternative-lifestyle shops, not to mention its vibrant weekly market. Dolgellau, 15 miles away, is full of independent shops, cafes and pubs, and is renowned for its annual music festival. For days at the beach, meanwhile, Aberdyfi is only 16 miles away.

Pull open the door to the deck, listen to birdsong and enjoy the fresh air. There’s a dining table for four tucked in one corner, and a Freeview TV for entertainment. The efficient galley kitchen, with its handsome painted cabinetry, includes an air fryer and a dishwasher for convenience, offering the chance to whip up quick snacks or gourmet meals alike.
