Set in a peaceful spot in Godshill Wood this individually designed detached cottage is on the western side of the New Forest National Park, adjacent to the owner’s home, yet offering plenty of seclusion. You can often spot extensive birdlife and deer from the balcony and donkeys, free roaming ponies and cows at the gate. A pub and village store is a short walk away through the woods. The waterside town of Fordingbridge is minutes away and offers a choice of local conveniences. Or take a trip to the nearby city of Salisbury, which has a great selection of shops and eateries. Further afield you will find Peppa Pig World at Poultons Park and the New Forest Water Park where you can try your hand at Wakeboarding or have a go on the inflatable aqua park.

A short unmade track leads you from the road to the thatched property, tucked away within the forest. From the parking area a path leads you to the front door, which opens into a welcoming hallway onto the first floor. Directly ahead of you is a stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a bright and airy ambience, wood burner effect gas fire, Smart TV and patio doors opening onto a balcony, this delightful space is an inviting area for the whole family to spend time together, whilst taking in the stunning views on offer. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Stairs rise to the second floor from the lounge, where you will find a tranquil double bedroom with pitched ceiling and a step between levels. Heading back downstairs and through into the hallway is a double bedroom, which has a lovely outlook over the garden, again with doors leading onto the balcony. A stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC is adjacent. A staircase leads down from the hallway to the ground floor of the property and a spacious twin room (which can be made into a double, please request at time of booking). This charming room is filled with natural light and has doors to the terrace as well as an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside from the ground floor you will find an inviting enclosed terrace and lawn. Ideally positioned to make the most of any sunshine it’s the perfect space for al fresco dining, with a table and chairs ready to accommodate all the family. From the first floor a balcony can be accessed from either the lounge or double bedroom and is the perfect place to relax and take in the stunning views over the owner’s idyllic three acre garden, deer can often be seen grassing. Heading back to the front of the property there is a parking for three vehicles.
