Gairloch, Highlands, Scotland
Bedrooms: 1 Guests: 4
General Info
Stay at this 300-year-old lovely stone cottage, perfect for long, picturesque walks around Loch Gairloch, Torridon and the Isle of Skye. Named after a lady who once called this snug property home, it has a familiar and homely feel. By day, explore beaches and go dolphin spotting, then relax into your charming, characterful hideaway set on a backdrop of rolling hills come evening. While feeling pleasantly remote, it's conveniently within walking distance of bars, shops and restaurants in nearby Gairloch (0.5 miles).

The inside of the house is welcoming and cosy. Wood features prominently, both in furniture and wall panelling – mountain refuge with all of your creature comforts provided. On the ground floor, there's a cosy lounge where you can sink into the sofa after long days out walking, perhaps watching something on the satellite TV or relaxing with a magazine. Light up the log burner to keep you warm if it feels a bit nippy. The main living area has an open-plan layout with a roomy and well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals and a dining area with a good-sized table and chairs. From here, a wooden staircase takes you up to the sleeping quarters. This semi-open-plan space has a bathroom in the middle and a bed at each end.

Outside, you'll be spoilt by stunning views – make the most of them by sinking into the hot tub with a glass of something tasty to accompany you in your relaxation. There's space to park three cars outside the house.
