Children will love the giant aviary on site which houses swans and Java ducks (usually to be found in the pond!), chickens, and even Australian parrots! Villa Pedras concept lies in wellbeing and peacefulness. Whether wallowing in the swimming pool, or finding a quiet corner in the gardens, you can always find some peace and quiet! Theres lots of space for the children to play, and its very safe as there are no cars in the village. Listen to the sounds of silence with only the birds and goats for company!
The design of Villa Pedra was inspired by the triad of Roman villas which dominate the region. The Romans settled in this region and developed important urban centres; Villa Pedra is in the middle of these. So, to the north, you will find the most famous Roman ruins in Portugal, Conimbriga. To the East, Villa Romana do Rabacal, and to the South, Villa Romana de Santiago da Guarda. Each site is well set up to welcome visitors.
