What visitors have said about The Old Mill |

The mill surpassed everything we imagined - the photos really don't do it justice! 13 of us stayed there for the weekend and there wasn't one of us who could resist running around like a kid when we first got there to explore all the quirky features. Roaring fires, squishy sofas, stunning interior, comfy beds.. Perfect for a weekend with (close) friends or family and would make a great retreat for a week with the pool and garden. Without question the best S/C place we've ever stayed...can't recommend it highly enough.

Well done us! We found the most fantastic place for a family Christmas - the Old Mill. Well actually the real congratulations goes to Sandra and Gary for kitting out such a luxurious property. Everything a family from 5yrs to 83yrs of age would ever need.
Should you be considering a visit I can thoroughly recommend the pub in the village. Just a short walk away and very friendly!
So that's it readers. A great place. Why would anyone want to travel abroad when England and properties like the Old Mill are so fantastic!

The Old Mill Stoke Ferry Norfolk
Martina OB London
My party of 15 spent New Year at the Old Mill. We had so many "wow" factor moments; from when we first approached the house from the driveway, to entering the house and seeing the stunning kitchen for the first time. I think we all agreed it was by far the most beautiful house any of us had ever stayed in. The views from the tower are spectacular, although the climb down the rather steep wrought iron stair cases is not for the faint hearted!!
It is a very well equipped house, we wanted for practically nothing. However we would have appreciated some more bath towels. We did not feel that 3 towels between 15 of us was enough! We read comments from some guests about lack of bathrooms ( there are 3, but they are, like everything else in the house, fabulous). We can honestly say that our party of 15 experienced no problems whatsoever, it just wasn't an issue for us.
The dining room was a perfect setting for our New Years Eve dinner and the round table was great- far more sociable than rectangular tables!
Top marks to the caretaker who was able to sort out a few very minor problems for us. He even came out on New Years Day to fix the dishwasher.
