What visitors have said about Kaber Chapel |

A group of 12 (and a half if you include Claire's bump) of us chose to visit Kaber chapel in September..... what a weekend! The chapel is really well done, and the facilities are really excellent (particularly the hot tub and sanua). We have rented a lot of properties for short breaks, and have to say this one beats the lot! Really lovely!

We had a fabulous joint 80th birthday party at Kaber Chapel in June. The ambiance and space was perfect for our celebration and the catered meal was superb. The facilities are great and the furnishings both tasteful and comfortable. Everyone had a lovely time.

We stayed here for my husband's surprise birthday weekend away. It was fantastic we loved every minute of it. The children all talk about it still a year on and want to come back. They say it was the best holiday they have had and it was just for the weeekend.
Everything was perfect, we danced all weekend with the ipod music all around the chapel and have a fantastic video to show this. Thank you for sharing your lovely chapel with us. We will be back.

We were the second group to stay at the chapel, the location and the interior were stunning, the snow that weekend really helped to set the atmosphere.
As a group of adults the chapel suited us perfectly, and the prepared meal was amazing!!
I would recommend this to a large group looking to get away from it all and blow off some steam - it certainly let us do so!

This is a truly splendid place to stay with a big 'wow' factor throughout. every detail has been thought of for you to enjoy your stay. Seven of us stayed and all had a great time. There is plenty of room to eat and socialise, yet have your own space if you need it. The chapel is in a super location with splendid views, there is plenty to do in the area, but we never left it as we were enjoying being there too much. A weekend was not long enough!!

Six adults stayed at the chapel at the end of February. When we walked through the main doors we all went "wow". Everything there was fantastic, from the rooms to the sauna and hot tub. A great place to unwind, go for a walk or a meal in nearby village. We will definitely be visiting again

8 of us stayed here in March for a weekend, it was a kind of reunion of old school girlfriends plus with all the husbands just meeting for the first time. We had an absolutley fabulous time taking full advantage of the facilities. The hot tub was great for chilling out in, and on an evening, the mezzanine became like the "hub" with us all drinking and dancing. I'd even taken some disco lights to set the atmosphere. The neighbours must have thought there was a new nightclub opened up in the area, to look out into the total darkness that surrounds it to see the whole place lit up and flashing! The chapel is gorgeous, the photos don't really do it full justice! Try it, you will not fail to love it. We would definately go back.

Our large family group stayed at Kaber over Christmas 2008- what an experience! We arrived to a wonderfully warm building with a super atmosphere created by lit tea lights and tasteful Christmas decorations. Chilled wine and home made mince pies made us feel very welcome. One of the most magical aspects of the chapel is that each bedroom is themed around one of Roald Dahls famous books, my grandaughter who at six found her bedroom themed around her favourite film and book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was overjoyed.
Kaber is a wonderful place and I am sure we will be back, winter or summer its a wonderful place to stay especially if you are looking for something special.

A group of 12 friends visited Kaber Chapel for a weekend in November to celebrate my recent marriage. The chapel was amazing, the photographs on the website don't do it justice. The open plan design was perfect for a large group, coupled with the sauna, hot tub and in-door BBQ made it a really special and memoriable weekend. I would highly recommend Kaber Chapel to anyone and can't wait to go back there myself!

I recently held my hen weekend at Kaber Chapel & I just wanted to say what a fantastic weekend we had. The chapel is amazing.
You seem to have though of everything anyone could need-even down to the fab freshly cooked scones for our arrival.
The website and photographs do not do it justice. It is an amazing, beautiful and relaxing place to be. None of us wanted to leave.
We are now thinking of an excuse to come back again!

Our group of 11 old friends had a fabulous weekend up at Kaber Chapel, luckily the weather was awful so we didn't feel too guilty about not going outside for three days! The Chapel has been converted to the highest quality and everything has been thought of. We will definitely all be back.

We've recently enjoyed our second stay at Kaber Chapel. The first was in March this year when a group of my girlfriends and i enjoyed a low key hen weekend. The space is perfectly suited to chilling out and and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub (good for intense conversations!) and the sauna cabin. We also made use of the beauty treatments that can be arranged at the chapel.
Over bank holiday weekend we took our other halves and 4 teenagers and had a fabulous weekend. The setting is ideal for offering something for everyone - the kids could watch dvds together in the mezzanine lounge area whilst the adults sat and enjoyed a drink or games in the dining/kitchen area. The chapel is totally self contained, there is no need to go out - other than to enjoy a gentle stroll around the countryside.
I would definitely recommend it to families and groups alike. We will definitely be back again!

Every year a group of friends get together for a long weekend of walking, talking, eating good food and generally relaxing in each others company. One of the party came across Kaber on the internet and after some initial investigation we booked a 3 night stay. There were 12 adults and 2 dogs in our party,we did some very scenic walks around Teesdale ,and found everything provided at the chapel top class. The Bedrooms /Wetrooms are something else, and the hot tub and sauna were a welcome end to a days walking (along with a glass of wine or two!!)
Cant wait to return!!

We have just returned from Kaber Chapel following a Hen party for 12! On our arrival, we were stunned by the beautiful chapel lit with gorgeous tea lights - Debby had done a fantastic job ensuring the chapel looked fabulous, and gave us a lovely welcome, making us feel like nothing was too much trouble for her! The chapel itself is gorgeous - modern, spacious and luxurious, with stylish wet-rooms and beautiful decor throughout. The little touches such as the robes and welcome treats finished everything off perfectly, and the food provided by Denise was complimented by every guest! A fabulous and memorable place - we can't wait to return!
