With comfortable beds, dining tables, giant wood burning stoves, insulated floors and private hot tubs, these safari lodges in rural Somerset take the word ‘glamping’ to a whole new level. This is the ultimate way to get back to nature.
Built and furnished in a way that is more reminiscent of a luxury canvas cottage than a tent, these fantastic safari lodges offer the perfect balance of authentic low-key living and stylish home comforts. Each one is cosy yet spacious, with showers, heaters, flushing toilets and a whole host of furniture and facilities. Outside there are private hot tubs and expansive front decks from where you can enjoy lovely views of the rolling Somerset hills. And nearby there are beaches, walks, country pubs, National Trust estates and opportunities aplenty for outdoor pursuits. Whether you’re here to relax with friends, gather with family or escape with a loved one, the safari lodges at Middle Stone Farm are an idyllic setting for an unforgettable holiday.
Middle Stone Farm sits in the midst of glorious countryside, with Exmoor National Park on one side and the Quantock Hills on the other. If you enjoy walking, cycling and fresh air then you’ve definitely come to the right place, and the area is full of thatched villages, beautiful beaches and National Trust properties like Dunster Castle, Knighthayes Court and Killerton House. Those in search of an adrenalin rush can go kayaking, coasteering, surfing, rock climbing and clay pigeon shooting, and those who would prefer to sit back and relax can visit places like Porlock Weir and Selworthy before sampling the abundant local farmers’ markets, cafes and pubs.
Although the setting is very rural it is in fact only 25 minutes from the M5 and Taunton and 45 minutes from Exeter Airport.
