General Info
With its fabulous location in St Ives, this four-storey cottage is mere footsteps from everything that makes St Ives such a dreamy holiday destination.

One of a handful of beautiful, characterful cottages that line the Digey, Walters is a delightful place for seaside escapes with family or friends. Known for its narrow granite passageways, small independent shops and easy access to everything St Ives is loved for, the Digey is a sought-after area in the town. Cafes and galleries sit between whitewashed cottages, and the beach is close enough to wander down to every day for an early morning swim or a sunset paddle-boarding session.

Inside, the cottage is arranged over four levels. The kitchen and dining space quirkily sit half a floor below the entrance, with a table for four and a fabulous kitchen. There’s a back door here which opens towards the harbour side of town, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off sandy toes and beach gear. On the first floor there are two separate living spaces. The snug just off the landing is furnished with a daybed and can be used as a second TV room (especially good for families) or an occasional single bedroom, while the main living room provides a cosy place for relaxation or spending time together. A pretty double bedroom and family shower room are located on the second floor, while above, a light-filled twin bedroom occupies the top floor and enjoys views over the rooftops and out towards the sea.

Around the corner you’ll find St Ives Bakery for fresh pasties and croissants, with Porthminster Kitchen and the Sloop Inn just a minute or two’s walk from the front door. St Ives Harbour Beach is 100 metres away, while Porthmeor Beach, Porthmeor Kitchen and The Tate St Ives in the opposite direction, are only yards further.

This characterful cottage is arranged over four levels with steep stairs between floors, so may not be ideal for guests with reduced mobility.

Situated in The Digey — one of the oldest and most atmospheric parts of St Ives, it’s just steps from Fore Street’s independent shops, cafés, galleries, with the scenic harbour and stunning sandy beaches of St Ives being a short walk away.

Living Room (First Floor)
This tastefully furnished room feels cosy and inviting with a mid-century inspired sofa and armchair, as well as an original *fireplace and Smart TV (with Freeview)

Snug (First Floor)
Off the first-floor landing at the top of the main staircase this room is furnished with a day bed/sofa but can also be used as an occasional single bed. Furniture includes a chest of drawers, mirror and Smart TV

Kitchen (Lower Ground – Half Level Down)
A lovely kitchen equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, cafetiere, washing machine, and vacuum cleaner
The back door opens directly onto the alley with easy access to the harbour
Accessed via fairly steep stairs but there is a a fixed handrail as well as a rope assist

Dining Area (Lower Ground – Half Level Down)
Within the kitchen and furnished with a dining table and seating for four. A window seat with cushions is positioned beneath the front window

Bedroom One (Second Floor)
A bright, attractive room which is furnished with double bed, internal wardrobes, chest of drawers, mirror bedside tables and lamps. Small level change (step up and down) between this bedroom and the family bathroom.

Bedroom Two (Third Floor)
This light-filled top floor bedroom has an en-suite and views over the rooftops and towards the sea and is furnished with twin beds, a bedside table with lamp and chest of drawers

Bathroom One (Second Floor)
The family bathroom is equipped with large shower (waterfall-style attachment), hand basin, heated towel rail, cabinet and mirror, and WC

Bathroom Two (Third Floor – Ensuite)
The en-suite to Bedroom Two with a shower, hand basin and WC

Outside Space
The cottage doesn’t offer any outside space apart from an outside shower in the alley of the kitchen

Parking
This property doesn’t offer parking, however Barnoon Long Stay Car Park is less than 5 minutes’ walk (about 300m)
