The region is renowned for other beaches as well, including sheltered bays like Barricane and Lee Bay, and the charming Puttsborough and Saunton Sands.

Of course, for most visitors holidaying in Woolacombe it’s all about the town’s 3-mile golden beach and famous Atlantic swells, where days can be spent sunbathing, swimming, rock pooling or surfing. The beach which is privately owned, also offers terrific facilities like seasonal lifeguarding, a large car park, beach huts, toilets, café’s and shops. Other wonderful beaches in the area include Barricane with its fantastic Sri Lankan food hut, Putsborough, Saunton Sands and Croyde.
