General Info
Unwind, recharge and reconnect with nature in this romantic hideaway just for two. Set on a working farm in the heart of mid Wales, it offers the chance to step away from everyday life and enjoy incredible views, fresh air and deep relaxation. Despite its sense of seclusion, the cabin is located just 2.5 miles from the small market town of Knighton, where you’ll find winding streets with beautiful half-timbered houses, and a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat. This is a wonderful location for outdoor activities, with no less than 32 designated cycle trails and an incredible choice of walks, including both Offa’s Dyke Path and Glyndwr’s Way, which meet at Knighton. While in the area, don’t miss a fascinating guided tour of the Spaceguard Centre, a working astronomical observatory just 5 miles away. The renowned foodie town of Ludlow is just 21 miles away.

This one-of-a-kind retreat is located on a working farm, where you’re surrounded by wildlife, horses and pedigree sheep grazing in the fields. The cabin has been carefully positioned for extraordinary views of rolling hills, forests and the ancient Offa’s Dyke, from both inside and out. Head up the winding path through the orchard, and take the three wooden steps up to the porch. Once inside, hang up your coats and appreciate the magical, open-plan living space with its beams and vaulted ceiling. The whole cabin has been designed with sustainability in mind, and features quirky, repurposed and hand-made furnishings – including a grandfather clock that now serves as a drinks cabinet. In one corner, a wood burner offers glowing warmth, and there’s a comfortable sofa where you can wrap yourself in a blanket and snuggle up with a book, or simply gaze out at the garden and appreciate the view. The kitchen features everything you’d expect for easy, efficient cooking, including a microwave and an air fryer, and there’s a farmhouse-style table at which you can linger over hearty breakfasts and romantic suppers. When sleep beckons, the rustic bedroom has a double hand-hewn bed where you can tuck yourself into pure linen sheets and gaze out over the wildflower meadow. The bathroom is another luxurious delight, featuring a stunning, free-standing copper bath on a raised plinth and a double rainfall shower.

From the living area, French doors lead to the wraparound, elevated sun deck, part of which has sheltered seating for sitting back and breathing in the fresh air. Dine outside and enjoy the panoramic vistas, perhaps lighting the BBQ or the pizza oven for a delicious treat, or climb into the wood-fired hot tub for a restorative soak. In the wider, enclosed garden, you can enjoy your personal sauna and cold-plunge tub, toast marshmallows over the fire pit or head over to the hammocks and sway in the sunshine. Spend evenings outdoors, and you’ll also enjoy some of the darkest night skies in the country, with incredible opportunities for stargazing. A telescope is provided. Another benefit of this inspiring getaway is private parking for one car.
