Mountain bikers should take on the famous Taff Trail, which passes through the village and stretches to Cardiff in the south. For something a little more serene, discover the spectacular waterfalls at Blaen-y-Glyn (7.5 miles) and the large, picturesque reservoir at Talybont (3 miles), which is often teeming with migratory birds.


After a long and busy day, stock up on supplies at the shop in the village or sample local delights in one of the two village pubs.
