A pretty lakeside cottage in rural Shropshire close to the Welsh border, with a canal running through the garden. An ideal place for friends, couples and family looking for a back to nature break with hiking trails on your doorstep and beautiful countryside all around.
Colemere Lake is a peaceful natural lake surrounded by ancient woodland and open countryside. It is in north Shropshire and is highly valued for its natural beauty. There are circular walks around the lake and surrounding woodland, lots of wildlife and birdlife to spot, making it ideal for nature lovers. Its rural setting means night skies free from light pollution and excellent stargazing opportunities.
Colemere is in a peaceful natural setting but is well located for exploring nearby market towns, pubs and attractions. It is three miles from the market town of Ellesmere which has a larger lake, as well as independent shops, cafes, pubs and a weekly market. You can walk or cycle along the canal towpath at Colemere, and visit nearby lakes and historic sites. Eryri (Snowdownia) National Park is just over a one hour drive.

Interior Details
The downstairs is open plan, with a kitchen diner, a table to seat four people, a log burner, tv, and comfy seating. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, utensils and appliances including fridge, microwave, dishwasher, oven etc. The cottage has central heating to keep you cosy in winter and there is wifi throughout. For guests with children, there’s a travel cot, as well as some children’s books, toys, games and a games console. There is a washing machine. A staircase leads up to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a shared bathroom with shower.

Outside there is a wooden deck with table and chairs and a small lawn which runs alongside the canal.
Conditions
Deposit payable on booking. Check in from 3pm, check out by 11am. Linen and towels included.
