Only a little over 3 miles away from excellent transport links and just 3 miles away from Bishop Auckland retail park, guests will find themselves surrounded by countryside walks on the doorstep yet within easy reach of some very popular locations. Nearby Hamsterley Forest it offers guests a real outdoor experience, great for adventurous bikers. Visit the market town of Barnard Castle home to a French designed Chateau - Bowes Museum with its collection of art. The iconic Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle are both steeped in history, wander through the city centre to find lots of hidden gems from boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants.
