General Info
This property is situated on the edge of the village of Compton Dundon, in the heart of the Somerset countryside, and yet is less than five miles away from two very different towns, both of which make interesting places for day visits. The town of Street is home to the Clarks shopping village, and is a mecca for bargain-hunting shoppers who will love browsing the factory outlet stores. Meanwhile, the historic town of Glastonbury has a range of quirky shops, independent eateries, and is home to the peaceful Chalice Well Gardens, and the atmospheric ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, said to be the final resting place of King Arthur. This property is perfectly located for bird watching on the Somerset levels with the starling murmurations and directly from the property you can walk up Lollover Hill which is a Site of Specific Scientific Interest (SSSI) for ornithology.

As soon as you arrive you will be immediately welcomed by this spacious and bright property. The oak frame which supports the building has very much been made the main feature of the property, with exposed beams and huge windows giving the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner an imposing feeling of grandeur. The lounge area has a range of comfortable seating which has been arranged so as to make the most of the views across the large gardens. Relax with a good film on the Smart TV or grab a book from the large selection. At the other end of this spacious room, the bespoke kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. Towards the rear of this space, close to the kitchen area, there is a set of twin beds, making this property suitable for up to four guests. The bright bathroom, with a shower-over-bath and WC is also located on the ground floor, whilst the double bedroom is situated on a mezzanine level which is accessed via open-tread wooden stairs. There are skylight windows which make it possible to lie in bed and look at the stars, but guests should be aware that the room does have a certain degree of reduced head-height.

Outside, in the enclosed and private garden there is a spacious lawn are for to enjoy, within which the owners have provided garden furniture and a BBQ, making it easy to enjoy alfresco meals in this peaceful location. Guests are welcome also to explore the owners land and woodland and meet the animals on site. There is EV charging available directly with the owner at an additional charge and parking for 2 cars in front of the property.
