The harbour town of Campbeltown is within easy reach as is the petty seaside village of Machrihanish, home of the world-renowned Machrihanish Golf Course. The Kintyre Peninsula is known for its unspoilt beauty, splendid white sandy beaches and spectacular wildlife, superb golf courses, historic castles and of course the local whisky. Nearby the Kintyre Way is a paradise for walkers and bikers to explore and water sports enthusiasts can enjoy the nearby Westport beach, known as one of the best surfing spots in Scotland, or take boat trips and visit the magnificent islands of Gigha, Arran, Islay and Jura in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty!

The castle offers a range of period features and fantastic extras including open fires, four-poster beds, a spiral staircase and a fabulous games room, and has been beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished throughout. This stylish and welcoming property provides spacious, light and airy living spaces with a choice of unique and antique furnishings. The spectacular garden provides a wonderful setting for al fresco dining, and the extensive grounds are perfect for exploring.
Stepping inside this historic property, the spacious reception hall invites you through to the grand dining room. This is an ideal spot for everyone to meet for a special meal or a family gathering, and features a couple of splendid dining tables, a Bluetooth soundbar, a wine cooler and an open fire. Heading through to the cosy and strikingly decorated lounge, you will find a perfect space for everyone to relax at the end of a great day, with a Smart TV, plenty of seating, another open fire and French doors leading to the garden. This floor also features the games room which is equipped with a roulette table, chessboard, mini snooker/pool table and a range of books, puzzles, cards, and board games.
Stairs lead down to the lower-ground floor where you will find the fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for preparing everything from a quick snack to a celebratory feast. This leads through to a charming breakfast room.
Exploring the castle further, a spiral staircase leads up to the first floor where there are three stylishly decorated and relaxing bedrooms. There is a four-poster double with en-suite Jack and Jill bathroom (bedroom and landing access). Through this 4-poster bedroom is accessed a further pretty single bedroom with room for an additional full sized single bed if required, ideal for family groups. Completing the first floor is another fantastic four-poster double bedroom with a further Jack and Jill en-suite bathroom.
Heading further up the spiral staircase, the second floor offers the final four bedrooms, all with enchanting views. Here you will find two double rooms, a twin and a single along with an invigorating family bathroom.
Venturing outside, the spectacular garden and the surrounding grounds extend to 8 acres, with a private drive leading up to the front of the property. A substantial south terrace provides a lovely seating area which can be accessed directly from the lounge. You’re also welcome to head into the grounds to explore the woodlands.
