Just a mile away in the village of Hinton St George, you’ll find the award-winning Lord Poulett Arms — a cosy and traditional country pub with flagstone floors, open fires, and low beams. Two miles east is the market town of Crewkerne, where there are supermarkets, cafés, shops, and a leisure centre with a gym and indoor pool. The charming coastal town of Lyme Regis, known for its boutique shops and second-hand bookshops, is about 30 minutes’ drive. West Bay and Bridport are also nearby — West Bay is known for its beautiful beach, while Bridport has a great selection of cafés, vintage stores, and an independent cinema. This area is perfect for exploring the Jurassic Coast, with options like coast path walks, windsurfing, fishing, and climbing in Weymouth. For historic attractions, visit Montacute House, Forde Abbey, or Abbotsbury Swannery.
Getting There:
The accommodation is located just off the A30 and A303. There are direct trains from London Waterloo, Salisbury and Exeter to Crewkerne station, which is only a 5 minute taxi ride away. It takes an hour and a half by road to Bristol and Bath and less than an hour to get to Exeter, where there is an international airport.

Interior Details
Inside this super stylish cabin you’ll find everything you need and more for your romantic getaway. Large glass doors open onto the deck with the lake in front of you and woodland views. There’s a fully fitted kitchen with all the appliances, utensils and crockery that you’ll need. The large bed is separated from the living area with a partial partition. Bedding, towels and dressing gowns are all provided. The living area has comfy seating, Smart TV and DAB radio and there is fast wifi throughout. The cabin is insulated and heated, ideal for year round retreats. Close by you’ll find The Barn, a beautifully renovated farm building with rolling farmland views, an open plan yoga space, gym, pool, table tennis, board games and an infrared sauna (with cold plunge!). You can book private sessions in the Barn to make use of the excellent facilities.
Exterior Details
Accessed down a private track, The Bali Box is in a wonderful and secluded setting overlooking a private lake. There’s a deck with an outdoor corner sofa, a BBQ hut, stargazing rocking loungers, and a black outdoor bath for two. Close by there is a hillside hot tub where you can enjoy stunning sunsets and beautiful views - just book in for your sessions on arrival.
Conditions of Rental
Adults only. No children or pets. Week bookings from a Friday or a Monday. Short breaks (2-4 nights available from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday). Check in is from 3pm from 1pm on Saturday) and departure is by 10am (11 am on Sunday).
