Head to the beautiful market towns of Shrewsbury or Ludlow by train from the village - the station is just 2 miles from the barns.  Two miles away is  the stunning Cholmondeley Castle with its beautiful grounds and there are lots of National Trust properties within a short drive.  For those who want some urban exploration, the barns are about 40 minutes from both Manchester and Liverpool, and the lovely walled city of Chester is just 20 minutes away.  And for the children - they’re bound to enjoy a visit to the biggest ice-cream parlour in Europe, which is just a 10 minute drive away.
