Grand Days Out in Suffolk | One Off Places
One the fab things about Suffolk (I’m an outsider) is that the pace of life seems to be very relaxed, so our guests seem to adopt that approach when they're out and about too. And what better place to do this than, in my opinion, along the most beautiful river in Suffolk? I’ve been up and down most of them and the Deben is my favourite. Criss-crossing from the Staffordshire Moors into the Derbyshire Dales looked literally taken from a film set: it’s no wonder the landscape was chosen as the filming location for Peak Practice, a popular, nineties TV Drama. The series was based in the village of Longnor, our home for a few days’ walking based from Jack’s Cottage.
