If your idea of unique holiday rentals in France involves nature, culture, food and outdoor pursuits then you’d be hard pressed to find a more idyllic spot than this. The apartment itself has been recently renovated, seamlessly blending original architectural features - vaulted ceilings and stone walls combine with contemporary comforts such as under floor heating. The village is peaceful and picturesque - a real escape from the daily grind. And in the local area there are pretty walking trails, colourful food markets and must-visit medieval towns including Uzès and the World Heritage site of Pont du Gard. Whether you’re here for activity, romance, history or gastronomy, you’re certain to have an unforgettable time.
The village has its own equestrian centre and bicycles (electric and pedal) can be delivered to the door. The garrigue has great cycling routes straight from the property. A short drive to wild swimming spots and the smaller hilltop villages. Whatever the season, this little corner of France is a delightful destination for foodies, culture vultures, historians and lovers of the great outdoors. Nearby there are plentiful walking, cycling and horse riding trails as well as opportunities for wild swimming. Hot air ballooning, abseiling and canoeing are also popular, or you could head for the market town of Uzès (15km away) and other must-see places like Pont du Gard, the Nîmes Arena, the ramparts of Aigues-Mortes and the stunning Cévennes National Park. Annual highlights include the Uzès Truffle Festival in January, the Alès Film Festival in March and the Avignon Festival in July.
If you visit in Spring you'll get to enjoy the wild asparagus from Uzès market, the garrigue in full aromatic bloom (the wild aromatic scrublands typical of the region) & the Pont du Gard before the summer crowds. By Spring truffle season has ended but in its place you can savour Pélardon goat's cheese and new season rosé. September and October are arguably the finest months - harvest season, warm days, cool evenings, and the vendange underway in the surrounding vineyards. Chestnut season in the Cévennes, sweet onions from the mountains, and the Uzès truffle festival on the horizon.
Euzet-les-Bains (Euzet 30) is located in the Gard department, within the Occitanie region of southern France. Occitanie was established in 2016 through the merger of Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées. The Occitanie region shares many similarities with neighboring Provence, famous for its lavender fields and picturesque villages.
