A unique, four-storey contemporary house in the small hamlet of Clayton Le Dale, just two miles from Ribchester in Lancashire. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a short drive from the magnificent Forest of Bowland, this is a wonderful base from to explore this popular area.
An interesting area with good road links, largely unspoilt and steeped in history, with a Roman museum and ruins, great gastropubs around every corner, and a fabulous spa just a few miles drive away. A short walk from the cottage is a renowned Indian restaurant as well as an excellent gastropub. Shops 2 miles, pub 10 mins walk. Restaurants 10 mins walk.

The village of Ribchester is encircled by green hills and lies in a curve of the River Ribble mid way between Preston and Clitheroe. It is a pleasant jumble of multi-coloured stone cottages in long twisting terraces. It has three pubs and an award-winning Chinese restaurant Yu and You Restaurant and Bar. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Ribble Valley is a rural haven of spectacular scenery, diverse natural habitats and historical legend, a place of peace, where adults and children alike can enjoy the simple pleasures of the outdoors without the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Longridge is nearby, a unique town with plenty of interesting shops and tempting eateries, described as 'big on character' by the Sunday Times and ranked in their '101 Best Places To Live In Britain'. Nearby Clitheroe is famed for its specialist shops of all types, including, amongst others, a sausage shop that sells over seventy-five different varieties! The house is set over four floors. There is a lower ground floor cinema room, a spacious billiard room with full-size snooker table, a table tennis room and a spacious studio, ideal for training, dance, yoga and pilates. The ground floor has a large modern kitchen with dining area, a large screen TV, a modern glass inlaid dining table, a centre island and a full range of built-in appliances, including high specification ovens and a coffee maker. Just off the kitchen/diner is a small sitting room with a large screen TV and a cosy woodburning stove. The ground floor bedroom has a super king-size bed and woodburning stove. The first floor has four spacious bedrooms and an outstanding main bathroom with wet room and freestanding bath. Three of the bedrooms are en suite and the two rear rooms overlooking the countryside have Juliet balconies. The second floor is an open plan design with spacious sitting area with a family bedroom and double bedroom separated by partition walls and a useful shower room. This is an ideal place for the kids to enjoy their own space, play DVDs, Nintendo Wii and the like and just chill out whilst the parents enjoy the rest of the house. Electric ovens and 5-ring gas hob , microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, built-in coffee maker, TV with basic Sky, Blu-ray projector with screen, Nintendo Wii, WiFi.
Outside there are spacious grounds, landscaped lawned gardens,, a paddock with goal posts and a hard court tennis court (rackets and balls provided). There is also a luxurious hot tub and a patio area with built-in seating and a fire pit. Ample off road parking.
