But it is also warm and welcoming, thanks to its bright ambience and plentiful original artwork. You could spend all day tucked up on the sofa or lounging on the terrace, but within easy reach you will also find delightful little villages, stunning cathedral cities, historic sites and farmers’ markets. Take someone special and escape for a little while.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Somerset really does have something for everyone, whether you’re a rambler, a history buff, a wildlife lover or a foodie. If you’re feeling active, the West Mendip Way passes just two minutes from the park, there are some brilliant cycle routes in Draycott and the surrounding area or you could climb the dramatic Cheddar Gorge. The quaint village of Cheddar itself is definitely worth a visit, as is the picturesque cathedral city of Wells, or you could explore Glastonbury Tor, Brean Down, Clevedon Court and Montacute House, to name just a few historic places of interest. Bristol and Bath, with their shops, restaurants and landmarks, are both within easy reach, or you could simply wander around a farmers’ market savouring local cheeses and ciders.
