Pretty converted chapel for four dating back to 1876 in the charming Dorset village of Sturminster Marshall. A short walk from the village pub, close to the New Forest, Jurassic Coast and south coast beaches, it’s an excellent base for a holiday with friends or family.
The quiet village of Sturminster Marshall simply oozes charm. It has a traditional maypole, commemorative oak trees and thatched cottages, as well as a welcoming pub and the village stores.
This is a beautiful part of Dorset and there’s lots to do and see in the surrounding area to keep all the family amused! There are several south coast beaches within a 20 minute drive. The New Forest is 15 miles away. Sturminster Marshall Golf Club is on your doorstep! It is less than a five minute walk to the village shop and pub. Wimborne and Blandford are 5 miles away, or head a little further (7 miles) to Poole where you will find lots of facilities.

Inside the house is laid out ‘upside down’ with the bedrooms downstairs and the living space upstairs. There is an oak floored mezzanine sitting room with original beams furnished with three leather sofas (one is a double sofa bed), a large wide screen TV with DVD, an ipod dock and mood lighting. This living room overlooks the formal galleried dining area with a spiral chandelier, which is raised to make the most of the village green views. There is a large and modern designer kitchen with doors to the courtyard. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a range style electric cooker, american style fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble drier, and a separate cloakroom. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both are ensuite. Each bedroom has a wall mounted flat screen TV.
There is a landscaped rear courtyard garden with a paved patio area with dining table and chairs. There is a raised decking area, also with table and chairs at the far end of the garden, positioned to catch the evening sun. Parking is around the village green opposite (though unloading possible adjacent to property).
Bed linen, towels, wifi, electricity, central heating included. Two well behaved dogs welcome.
