A glorious three bedroom house just a short distance from the Derbyshire town of Matlock, set on the side of the Derwent Valley with some of the best views in the Peak District. A wonderful choice of holiday house for those in search of beautiful views, family time, and outdoor activities.
This house has it all - beautiful interiors, stunning views, and is in close proximity to an endless array of places to go and things to see. If you’re looking for a holiday in the Peak District, then this is a great place to base yourself.
Matlock is 1 mile away, down in the valley, and has lots of shops and a great range of pubs and restaurants. Further afield you can visit Carsington Water’s wild watersports, Matlock Bath with its riverside prom, Bakewell’s famous Monday market, or the well known opera house in the Victorian town of Buxton. There are lots of wonderful walks - you can wander along the Cromford Canal in the Derwent Valley World Heritage Corridor. Head into the Peak District on a steam train, or take a trip the the magnificent Chatsworth House.

Inside the large lounge has picture window views, luxurious furniture, TV, DVD, Sky and a log burning stove. There is wifi throughout. The ultra modern kitchen also has exquisite valley views and is well equipped with everything you’re likely to need, including dishwasher. There is a dining room adjacent to the kitchen with oak table and chairs, and a utility room with a second fridge and washer dryer. Also downstairs is a cloakroom and one of the bedrooms - a double ensuite. The other two bedrooms are upstairs - a fabulous and large master bedroom with king size bed and large bathroom (including rolltop bath), and a twin bedroom, also ensuite.
There is a large patio with furniture and incredible views across the Derwent Valley. Parking is on the quiet road just below the cottage.
Bookings for this cottage run from Saturday to Saturday, except bookings for Christmas and New Year which are from Friday to Friday. Short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year. Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of logs for the stove are included. Pets and smoking are not permitted. The house is not suitable for children under 12. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult. Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday.
