Llanwrtyd Wells hosts a range of events throughout the year from the World Alternative Games to bog snorkelling triathlons. Further afield, the spa town of Llandrindod Wells (14 miles) is well worth a visit with its Victorian architecture, or spend the day antiquing and browsing the bookstores at famous Hay on Wye (29 miles).
