Light, spacious and full of original features, Palettes de Gascogne is a beautifully restored limestone house which offers relaxing holidays, painting retreats and bucket loads of French country charm.
If you’re looking for a picturesque and peaceful setting for a painting holiday, a Pilates retreat, a hiking trip or just an escape from the real world then Palettes de Gascogne could be just the place. The accommodation is tasteful and authentic, with a blend of contemporary comforts and features like walnut stairs, stone fireplaces, oak beams, limestone walls and a magnificent oak front door. The gardens are idyllic, full of sunny spots, shady nooks and quiet corners in which to sit. And within the surrounding area there are rolling hills, sunflower fields, vineyards and local towns to explore at your leisure. Why not slow down and unwind for a while?
This part of the country is often referred to as the ‘Tuscany of France’ and it isn’t hard to see why. The house sits in a tranquil rural setting but it is just a 10 minute walk to the picturesque bastide village of St Puy where you will find a café/restaurant, a pizzeria and a boulangerie. The UNESCO world heritage site at La Romieu and Lectoure and the Roman villa of Seviac are just 20 minutes away, and in the area you can hike, bike, horse ride, canoe, golf or paraglide.
The house is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Toulouse airport and a pick up/drop off service is included in the price of your stay. The drive time from Calais is about 10 hours.

Also inside is a large artist studio equipped with easels, tables and boards.
Outside you will find a shaded dining area as well as a sunny south-facing terrace, a large swimming pool and a garden full of hidden alcoves and pretty views. Meals will be served outside when the weather permits.
A Continental style breakfast is served daily, lunch is simple but plentiful and 3-course evenings meals made from local seasonal ingredients are provided. Guests will also have all-day access to tea and coffee making facilities. Vegetarian and special diets will be catered for with notice.
