General Info

This spacious holiday house has been beautifully furnished and is very well equipped, set on an estate and farm above the village of Llanigon. The house is recommended as a fantastic base for exploring the market town of Hay-on-Wye which is only 2 miles by road or a 40 minute walk over the hill if taking the footpath.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

The nearby town of Hay on Wye is bursting with boutiques, antiques dealers, galleries, book shops and a whole array of independent craft shops, as well as having a good range of cafes, pubs and restaurants.  The area surrounding the house is beautiful and it is exceptional walking country with footpaths from the door.  You are near to the Offa’s Dyke Path and the National Cycle Route.  The Brecon Beacons National Park is on your doorstep for for more adventurous walkers, the famous Pen y Fan mountain is easily accessible.  You can go canoeing down the river Wye from Glasbury or Hay, hire bikes, go fishing in the Wye or Usk or head to nearby Llangorse Lake for some sailing or windsurfing.

Interior Details

The house can sleep up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.  The bedrooms are all on the ground floor - two king sized bedrooms (one of which is en suite) and two twin bedrooms which can be converted to a king size bed if required.  Also on this floor are two additional bathrooms.  There are two staircases leading from the ground floor up to the first floor.  There is an open plan kitchen diner with a living area off it.  The kitchen is very well equipped, there is a table and chairs for 8 and a large corner sofa with a flat screen TV.  There is also a separate living room with comfy sofas, flat screen TV and log burning stove.

Exterior Details

There is a garden terrace for al fresco dining, and a woodland area which children will love!  The terrace has got seating for 8 and a BBQ.  There is ample parking and bike storage facilities.


The house has biomass heating which is on constantly and controlled by wall thermostats in the colder months.  There is a wood burning stove with plentiful logs provided.  Cot and high chair provided.  Check in after 5pm and check out by 11.30am.  £200 refundable security deposit for hen / stag parties.  1 pet allowed.  Wifi.
