Dar Habiba is a traditional, secluded riad just minutes from the famous Jemaa el Fna square. Romantic and luxurious, it has its own private hammam (the ultimate extravagance) and a beautiful roof terrace from where you can watch the famous Marrakech Storks flying over royal palaces.
As soon as you arrive at Dar Habiba you will fall in love with the comfortable and characterful rooms, the peaceful location and the stunning outside spaces where you can relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city’s streets. Most of all, you will fall in love with the Dar Habiba Hammam, your own private oasis of pampering and calm. Cleanse your body, relax your mind and reinvigorate your spirit. The riad is wonderfully cool and tranquil, despite its proximity to the main square, and the staff will bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. This is the way to do Marrakech in relaxation and style.
Dar Habiba is located in a quiet and exclusive district between Rue Riad Zitoun El Kedim and Rue Riad Zitoun El Jedid. Surrounded by other luxury riads it is only a stone’s throw (or two) from the beautiful Bahia and Baadi Palaces. In fact, it’s hard to believe how tranquil it all is given it’s only a few minutes’ walk from the tumultuous excitement of Place Jemaa El Fna in one direction, or bars and restaurants such as the Kozy Bar and Le Tangia in the other. Marrakech has so much to offer that it is hard to narrow it down. Haggle in the famous souks, visit the splendid mosques and museums, sample mouth-watering Moroccan cuisine, visit Bahia Palace, try some of the restaurants and cafes in the newer parts of town, and marvel at the crafts on offer. Marrakech really is a feast for the senses.
When arriving from the airport you’ll be dropped off at the taxi rank at the end of Rue Riad Zitoun El Kedim, where there are usually plenty of porters to help transport your bags the rest of the way.
Lots of restaurants and cafes all around
The city is full of shops and stalls

The rooms and suite are all decorated in an elegant and colourful style, but they all have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and a host of other creature comforts. Just off the courtyard is a lounge/dining room where you can watch DVDs on the flat screen TV, curl up and read, or just escape from the midday sun. The hammam is an integral part of the riad and here you can luxuriate in the beautiful smells of the traditional Moroccan soaps and oils while being tended to by your personal hammam lady. Relax as she takes you through the wonderful experience of being cleansed from head to toe.
Hidden from view at the centre of the riad, the courtyard is definitely one of the highlights. Large and airy, it is a beautiful place to sit either in sun or shade, sipping mint tea and watching the birds drinking from the fountain. The dipping pool is perfect for laps or for cooling off in after a day exploring the souks, and at night the courtyard comes alive with candle light. The riad also has a superb roof terrace where you can either sit in the shade of the Berber tent or bake in the sun. This is an idyllic spot for breakfast, for enjoying a cooling drink as you enjoy the views or for soaking up the atmosphere as you listen to the evening sounds drifting up from the streets below.
The riad has been painstakingly restored working using traditional materials and craftsmen, while incorporating contemporary conveniences like an iPod docking station and WiFi. The dedicated Moroccan staff speak fluent English, as well as French and Arabic, and they really cannot do enough for you. Our concierge service offers advice and support with all aspects of your trip to Marrakech and we offer the loan of a local pay as you go mobile (one per room) to allow you to stay in touch with the riad throughout your stay. A delicious Moroccan breakfast is served at a time of your choice – this varies but can include crepes, croissants and pastries, breads from the local bakery, honey and jams, yoghurt, eggs, and fresh fruit salad, as well as tea, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Lunch and evening meals can also be provided for an extra cost (about 100 dirhams per person for lunch and 200 dirhams per person for a 3 course evening meal). We offer a range of traditional Moroccan dishes and all menus can be adapted to your requirements. There is even a celebration menu available for special occasions.
