If you’re seeking a quiet romantic escape then look no further. Azenha do Corvo is a late XVIII century watermill which is home to two charming private cottages, not to mention woods, terraces, gardens and a pool. This is a lovely tranquil hideaway.
Peaceful and secluded yet just a few minutes from some of the most stunning beaches on the Portuguese coast, the Azenha do Corvo offers a restful escape in a beautiful setting. The cottages are completely independent from one another so you can see as much or as little of your neighbours as you choose, and they have both been thoughtfully equipped with private patios, fresh flowers and fruit, drinks and basic breakfast supplies. Stay within the grounds and enjoy the calm surroundings or venture further afield to explore the surrounding natural park and its many attractions and activities.
The property is situated in Almoçageme, a delightful coastal village within the magnificent Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Nearby you will find the stunning beaches of Adraga and Praia Grande (to mention only two), and a short drive away there are magical palaces, the gardens of Monserrate, the unique Convent of the Capuchos and an ancient Moorish castle. Within the natural park you can hike, surf and bird watch, and throughout the region you will find wine cellars and farmers’ markets selling delicious food and drink.
The cottages are just 30 miles from Lisbon where you will find a well-served international airport.
