One-Off Feature

A charming three bedroom Victorian house right on the seafront in the Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis.  With an elevated veranda where you can sit and watch the world go by with uninterrupted views of the beach and the sea, it’s a great spot to enjoy a true British seaside holiday.

General Info

These stunning views of the beach, sea, the Cobb and as far as Portland Bill are repeated from the sitting room, two of the bedrooms and the snug.  From the Marine Parade, a wooden gate leads you to the house, up a few steps and onto the veranda.  The snug is just inside on the left, where you can sit looking out of the picture window and watch the world go by. 

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

There’s lots for the whole family to do in and around Lyme Regis.  As well as a sandy beach and seafront promenade, Lyme Regis has many restaurants, pubs, cafes and tearooms, including celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant.  There is a good selection of independent shops and an award winning museum.  The South West Coast Path heads west through the Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or you can walk east towards Charmouth and the National Trust land at Golden Cap.

If you are planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town.

Interior Details

The snug area has wonderful views of the beach and sea.  There’s an open plan lounge and dining area with sofas and chairs, and dining table and chairs for six.  There’s flatscreen TV, DVD, video and CD player for when you can drag your gaze away from the sea views!  The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher.  There is a family bathroom as well as an additional, separate, WC.  There are two twin bedrooms (one with sea views) and one kingsize, also with sea views.

Exterior Details

A door from the first floor landing leads out to the back of the house. There is a small paved area equipped with patio chairs.  The property has an allocated parking spot in a nearby private car park just 5 mins walk away.

Conditions:

Bed linen, Wifi, electricity and gas central heating included.  Towels can be hired or you can bring your own.  No smoking.  Please note that the mobile reception here is mixed.
