Located on the shores of the secluded Jackdaw Quarry, just a stone’s throw from both the Lakes and the Dales, Jackdaw Quarry Heights offers unique and luxurious accommodation in a peaceful and picturesque setting.
With underfloor heating, huge beds, all the mod cons and sensational views over Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Fells, Jackdaw Quarry Heights certainly deserves its 5* Enjoy England rating. The accommodation is well-appointed and eco-friendly, there is plenty of outside space for enjoying the spectacular sunsets, and on your doorstep there are walks, wildlife and lots of places of historic and cultural interest. Come and escape for a while in style and comfort.
As if the setting of the lodge itself wasn’t enough, this is a truly beautiful part of the world, with the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Pennine Way all a short distance away. Those interested in history should explore the castles of Muncaster, Sizergh and Skipton, culture vultures must visit Brantwood (the museum of John Ruskin) and Hill Top House, the home of Beatrix Potter, and wildlife lovers will enjoy Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve, Docker Park Farm and Lakeland Wildlife Oasis. The countryside here is fantastic for walking and cycling, in particular the Pennine Bridleway, and activities like scuba diving are also available at the lake. And for something a little different, take yourself off to the Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, which takes back to 1630!
Follow the M6 to Lancashire and take the A601(M) exit at J35 to A6/Carnforth/Morecambe. Take Kellet Rd/B6254 to Capernwray Rd, continue right, and then take a slight right at A601(M). Take the B6254 ramp to Kirkby Lonsdale/Over Kellet, then turn left onto Kellet Rd/B6254 and the lodge will be on your right.
Nearest Train Station:
Catch 23 or Redwell Country Inn

The lounge area has an electric fireplace and deep cushioned seating (not to mention a TV and DVD player), the dining area is positioned to take in the stunning views, and the kitchen has granite worktops and all the mod cons. You will also find underfloor heating, toiletry packs in every room, a welcome pack on arrival and up to date technology throughout, from Smart TVs to WiFi, a Playstation 4 and a Bluetooth speaker.
Outside the dining area and lounge there is a large deck and on the lower ground floor there is a long deck complete with reclining garden chairs. There is also a BBQ here.
