In an idyllic setting in Poitou-Charentes is Le Village Flottant de Pressac, a unique floating village where you will find cosy characterful cabins, wild natural spaces and a feeling of freedom and adventure.
Originally sponsored by the yachtswoman Maud Fontenoy, the concept of a floating village is a wonderful one, offering infinite horizons and an unforgettable experience for those who want to get back to basics without sacrificing all home comforts. The domain is home to 27 cabins altogether, 21 of which are on the water and each of which sleeps between 2 and 7 people. The setting is peaceful and picturesque, with wildlife and natural beauty literally on your doorstep. And the surrounding area is a hub of outdoor pursuits, historic sights and family attractions. Come and experience the magic for yourself.
On site there is a heated pool, a restaurant, a playground and a souvenir shop, as well as a selection of board and outdoor games for guests to enjoy. And within the area you will find attractions like Le Cormenier and the medieval cities of Chauvigny and Montmorillon.
Directions provided on booking.
The cabins are furnished with beds (made up for arrival), ecological dry toilets, tables and chairs and heating. Breakfast is included and served in your accommodation.
Each cabin has a terrace with outdoor furniture, and if you stay in one of the floating cabins you can even fish from here.
