One-Off Feature

A unique luxury holiday experience! Buttercup Cabin is constructed using straw bales and has curvy, clay plastered walls, oak beams and deep, oak windowsills. The Cabin sits within its own private garden and is situated overlooking a large pond full of fish and wildlife. Perfect for a romantic retreat or secluded getaway.

General Info

Buttercup Cabin sleeps maximum 2 people and is the perfect escape to the countryside. It is unique in that it is the UK’s first holiday home made from straw bales. The cabin has one double bedroom, a bathroom and kitchen living area. Each guest will receive a welcome hamper on arrival.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

The Cabin at Village Farm, Brind is 3 miles from Howden by road. Alternatively, it is a pleasant 2 mile cross country walk which takes about 40 minutes at a leisurely pace. Howden is a quiet, attractive market town with great charm and warm hospitality. It has something to interest everyone. The Market Place is home to a wealth of small friendly shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also a off licence, chemist, post office, newsagent and a Co-op which opens long hours. Plenty to see and do on day trips into the picturesque city of York, Hull or Leeds - only half an hour away.

Getting There:
Howden railway station is only 1 mile from the Cabin. You can get to Howden station in just over 2 hours direct from London Kings Cross on Hull Trains. Howden also has regular trains to York, Hull and Leeds. By road, we are 5 miles from J37 of the M62. There is plenty of off road parking space.

Interior Details
The accommodation comprises a modern kitchen and lounge area opening out onto a south facing porch. There is one spacious double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. We have taken care with the interior to make your stay as comfortable as possible; hand made kitchen and wardrobes, oak floor and luxury towels and bedding included in the price. The cabin also has complimentary larder basics.

Exterior Details
Both the main door and the french doors open out onto the decking, where there is a picnic bench and wooden sun lounger. There is a BBQ too.
