Chalet Lenart in Slovenia provides a lovely blend of contemporary living and Slovene Alpine charm. It is perfectly located for you to explore Slovenia (which is stunningly beautiful and unspoilt) and there's lots to do locally as well. Clinging to the edge of the Kamnik Alps, the far-reaching 180 degree views are truly breathtaking!
Chalet Lenart is a south-facing chalet in Slovenia and built on 3 levels: there are 3 bedrooms on the top, a large living area and modern bathroom in the middle, and a large kitchen & dining area at the bottom. All of Slovenia's main attractions are within very easy reach, including Ljubljana, Bled, Bohinj and Kranjska Gora, but you can also explore Slovenia's lesser-known delights and take part in a really wide range of outdoor activities. There's excellent walking right from the door, plus we have local horse riding, paragliding, tennis, rock climbing, fishing, road cycling and mountain biking. In winter Krvavec ski resort is literally just above the chalet, offering excellent skiing and snowboarding, or you could try sledging or ice skating just a short drive away.
Chalet Lenart sits 700m above sea level in the small hamlet of Apno which clings to the Kamnik Alps. As you would imagine, this is a wonderful position, surrounded by 180 degree views of alpine pastures and forests. There are two restaurants within a few minutes' walk and Cerklje is a picturesque town with a butcher, baker, bank, post office and cafes, as well as a very helpful Tourist Office. There are countless outdoor activities available, from the low key to the adrenalin-fuelled so you will never be short of ways to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Alternatively, you can visit Slovenia's main tourist attractions or explore the lesser-known, but just as beautiful, areas around the chalet.
Easyjet flies from London Stansted to Ljubljana, Adria flies from both London and Manchester, and Wizz Air fly from Luton (starting end Oct 2012). Several other airlines fly in from other European cities. From Ljubljana airport it's a very easy drive of around 15 minutes up to the chalet.

Small local ones, don't miss Ljubljana on Saturday
The house is very well equipped with everything you might need - a real home away from home. There's a well-stocked library of family-friendly books and DVDs, along with a PS2 and free WiFi. The spacious kitchen and bathroom have both been newly renovated with modern fittings and the house is warm and cosy in winter, yet cool and airy in summer. The house is literally built into a mountain, so be aware that the stairs are steep!
There's a beautiful outside eating area from which you can watch the sun set over the distant mountains as you drink a glass of delicious Slovene wine. The top two floors each have big balconies looking over the stunning views. To the side and rear of the house there's a pretty garden with flowers and fruit trees - guests are welcome to help themselves to the fruit!
Spring: you could wander through meadows and forests crammed with beautiful wild flowers, enjoying the warm sunshine, bright blue skies and snow capped mountains Summer: join the friendly Slovenes at many traditional festivals; or kayak, raft or canoe on the turquoise lakes and rivers; or have family fun at the summer park on the mountain behind the chalet - ariel courses through the trees, downhill trikes and go carts, trampolines and a climbing wall Autumn: the colours of the forests are spectacular, making it perfect for hiking, or go shopping in the markets for fresh porcini mushrooms gathered that morning and try the local blueberry brandy Winter: as well as skiing or snowboarding at Krvavec, try fantastic sledging in the meadows behind the chalet or go on an organised toboggan run miles through the forests. Or safely ice skate on frozen lakes. Throughout December marvel at the stunning Christmas lights and authentic Christmas markets in Ljubljana and enjoy the 'Father Frost' traditional parade.
