One-Off Feature

A spacious period farmhouse sleeping up to 22 people in 9 bedrooms dating from 1620 near Sennybridge in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.  With a games barn in the garden, a cycle route passing the door and surrounded by nature and wildlife, this is a perfect spot for a get together of a large group of family and friends.

General Info

The farmhouse has an interconnecting barn conversion with oak cruck beams and traditional stone.  The total living space of the farmhouse and barn is approximately 1500 square metres so is spacious enough for large groups, but still feels cosy and welcoming.  A cycle route passes the door and there are fabulous views over the wooded river valley and surrounding hills with abundant wildlife including otters, deer and red kites. The farm is no longer a working farm but retains the original threshing barn, stables and hayloft. Easy to reach Dan-yr-Ogof Caves and Waterfall Country.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

The farmhouse is a mile from the hamlet of Crai which is near Sennybridge in the Brecon Beacons.  Sennybridge and nearby village of Defynnog are the nearest places for village shops and pubs, and both are about 3 miles away.  The farmhouse is in a secluded location and you can walk or mountain bike directly from the door onto the hill via a drovers way which leads from the house up and over the Heol Senni Valley.  The house is 12 miles from the town of Brecon; the Black Mountains are 10 miles to the west.  You’re in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park here - the famous Pen-y-Fan and the national park visitor centre is 6 miles to the east.  There are several trout fishing reservoirs nearby.  Swansea is 27 miles away and beyond it are the beaches of the Gower Peninsula.
