The cottage has everything you could need for a relaxing and restorative holiday - comfortable beds, stylish furnishings, contemporary amenities, beautiful sash windows, a wood burning stove, a nature trail within the grounds… the list goes on. And nearby you will find riverbank restaurants, the lovely literary town of Hay-on-Wye, the Brecon Beacons themselves and all sorts of opportunities for outdoor pursuits. Whether you’re here as a family or a group of friends you’re sure to make some wonderful memories.

The River Wye, where you can fish for salmon and trout, runs just below the house and a short walk along the banks will take you to the River Café at Glasbury. You could hire a canoe and paddle 5 miles to Hay-on-Wye or 10 miles to The Boat Inn at Whitney, or you could drive the 4 miles to Hay and explore the quaint narrow streets, boutique clothes shops, antique dealers and book stores. Five miles away the Gospel Pass allows direct routes into the Llanthony Valley, Offa's Dyke Path, and the National Cycle Route 42 and there are walking trail galore, and activities like hang gliding, shooting, rock climbing, abseiling, gorge-walking, rafting, pot-holing, golf, off-road driving, paintballing, orienteering and quad-biking are all available in the area.

The cottage has been beautifully renovated and has three spacious bedrooms - one en-suite double with a Juliet balcony overlooking the gardens, a double with courtyard views and a twin with a feature fireplace. You will also find a family bathroom with a large shower, a flag-stoned entrance hall, an open plan sitting/dining room with a wood burning stove and TV/DVD player and a well-equipped kitchen. Underfloor heating, WiFi, a music system and logs for the fires and stoves are all part of the package.
There is a private terrace with furniture and a BBQ and a large garden which has its own little nature trail. There is safe storage for mountain bikes.
A welcome tray is provided at each cottage and please note that a £250 bond is required per property upon arrival. Further accommodation for 14 people can be provided by booking the neighbouring cottages. The cottage is suitable for one well behaved pet. Mobile reception is variable.
