If you’re looking for quintessential English countryside with a stylish contemporary twist then Ivy Cottage, in a beautiful Cotswolds village, is just the place. It’s the ultimate boutique bucolic retreat.
Recently renovated from a humble countryside dwelling, Ivy Cottage has been completely transformed into a chic rural escape full of exposed wood, cleverly placed mirrors, contemporary furniture and bespoke touches. Inside the simple exterior decadent touches like fluffy bathrobes, a copper roll top bath and abundant mod cons await. The village is postcard-perfect and full of honey stone thatched houses and quaint little lanes. And in the area there are friendly pubs, award-winning restaurants, scenic walking paths and historic houses. Doesn’t that sound like a dream come true?
The cottage is located in the village of Long Compton, not far from Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Chipping Norton. In the village you will find a small shop and the Red Lion Inn and a short drive will take you to Soho Farmhouse, Daylesford Organic farm, Chastleton House and the wonderful Cotswold Wildlife Park. Keen walkers can experience the beauty of the countryside on foot, and after a day of exploring you can cosy up in one of the many nearby pubs and restaurants.
Ivy Cottage comes with off street parking for 1 car. If you’re travelling by train the nearest stations are Moreton-in-Marsh (10 minutes away) or Banbury (45 minutes). It’s approximately an hour and forty minutes away from London by car.

Downstairs there is a well-equipped kitchen and dining area as well as a living room with comfortable seating, a wood burner, a Bose sound system and a large TV with Sky/Netflix/Amazon Prime. Upstairs there are two en-suite bedrooms - one super king size Master with a copper roll top bath and one king with a double headed rain shower.
At the back of the house there is a charming little garden.
Minimum stay is 3 nights. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. Whilst being a dog-friendly cottage, Ivy Cottage can only accept small-medium dogs for an additional £30. Unfortunately we don’t provide a cot or a highchair but the master bedroom can easily accommodate a travel cot.
