Off grid and rustic yet stylish and luxurious, this unique Woodcutters Hut in Kent is set in the trees next to a beautiful wild meadow in the South Downs, and provides everything you could want for a glamping holiday with a difference.
Set within the trees on the edge of an enormous wild meadow you will find Woodcutters Lodge, a charming eco hut built from local natural and recycled materials. Inside it has all the furnishings and home comforts of a boutique hotel, outside there are 100 acres of private woodland to explore and all around you the North Downs area of outstanding natural beauty offers a stunning network of footpaths, bridleways and byways. If you’re looking to get away from it all then this is just the place.
Those in search of a leisurely stroll should take a walk to the Hucking Estate (about 1 mile away) and those after more adventurous pursuits can head off road to the very top of the downs. The White Horse Wood and Thurnham castle ruins offer some spectacular views across the weald, and the Black Horse pub is a 5 minute walk down onto the pilgrim’s way.
Although the estate feels incredibly remote it is actually just 40 minutes from central London.

The cabin has one double bed made up with sumptuous bedding, a wood fired hot water bath, a toilet and basin, a hot drinks facility and candle lighting. Cooking equipment and food hampers are available on request.
The lodge is set within 80 acres of privately owned land which comprises ancient woodland and flower-filled meadows.
Conditions of Rental
Check in is between 2pm and 4pm.
If you need additional accommodation, the wild meadow is home to a bell tent village comprising of ten canvas bell tents and two homemade shepherds huts. This is a magical setting for weddings so please enquire for details.
