Built originally in the 18th Century and set within its own grounds, Lanhydrock Barn blends modern furnishings with traditional features including beamed ceilings throughout. The open plan living area and kitchen provide all the home comforts to enjoy your stay whilst the wet room provides a convenient place to change out of muddy clothes. Outside, guests will find a spacious enclosed garden and close by footpaths leading off into the beautiful surrounding grounds.

Interior Details

The living room has a flat screen TV, DVD player and CD player.  One of the sofas converts to a sofa bed if you need sleeping accommodation for more than 2 people.  There is a fully fitted kitchen with a full range of utensils and appliances including dishwasher and washer dryer.  The main bedroom has a king size bed, as well as a flatscreen TV with freeview, DVD player and iPod dock.  The family bathroom doubles as a wheelchair accessible wetroom.

A five bar gate gives entrance to a spacious enclosed garden with established trees and cornish hedges, set out to lawn with patio, barbecue and garden furniture.

Conditions of Rental

This property is especially suitable for families. There is a cot and highchair plus a baby bath (for 0 - 4 years) available on request. The property is VisitEngland family accredited. Lanhydrock Barn offers a whole list of baby items to make things easy for parents of young children.

From your doorstep you can take a step back in time and stroll around the stunning grounds of Lanhydrock country house and estate, which also leads down to the Fowey river valley. You can also join the Saints Way Trail which passes close by and crosses Cornwall from Padstow to Fowey.  Those in search of a good workout, or some indulgent relaxation, should head to the nearby Hustyns Hotel, where the owners have negotiated reasonable rates for use of the facilities which include a state-of-the-art gym, and an indoor pool complete with a steam room and sauna.  The National Trust site Lanhydrock House is less than a mile away where you can explore the cycle trails (you can hire bikes here). Just over a mile away is Lanhydrock Golf Club provides the perfect opportunity to play a round surrounded by wonderful countryside.
