The region of Pays de La Loire is well known for its beautiful countryside, diverse history, charming villages, architectural monuments, fine wineries and abundant extraordinary chateaux, not least the neighbouring Chateau du Lude with its wonderfully manicured gardens. Local shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance, and the nearby banks of Le Loir are heaven for a stroll or a picnic.
Getting There
Le Lude is easily accessible by car, with the A28 autoroute only 15 minutes away. By air the nearest airport is Tours (40 minutes). You can travel by train from Paris to Le Mans (50 minutes). The port of Calais is a 5-hour drive with Caen, St Malo and Le Havre all approximately 2-3 hours away.

Interior Details
The B&B has five bedrooms - four king size and one twin - most of which have lovely views overlooking the garden. The two deluxe rooms are en-suite (one has a beautiful marble fireplace and the other two feature windows) and all are furnished with blend of traditional pieces and modern comforts. High quality linens and towels are provided as standard, there are tea and coffee making facilities on the 1st floor landing, and a delicious breakfast is included.
Exterior Details
Outside the house there is a terrace where you can eat, drink and relax, and there is a secluded walled garden for reading and sunbathing.
Conditions of Rental
Well behaved dogs may be permitted, and extra beds for children under 10 can be provided (both for a 15 euro charge). A home cooked 3 course evening meal is available for 25 euros per person, with reduced rates for children.
