Accommodation Details

Interior Details
The cottage has three bedrooms – two doubles and one twin. One of the bedrooms is accessibly located on the ground floor, and on this level you will also find a large kitchen/diner/sitting room. There is a family bathroom on the first floor.  The ground floor of the cottage is all on one level with a wooden floor throughout. The large light kitchen/dining/sitting room provides a relaxed and contemporary living space.  Glass double doors blur the lines between inside and the outside, making the decking area, al fresco dining area, barbecue and garden easily accessible for outdoor living. Also on the ground floor is a double/twin bedroom and an accessible wet-room with shower seat and grab rails. There are a further two bedrooms on the first floor – a double, and a twin that can also be made into a double. There is also a family bathroom. The beds are super-comfortable with middle-firmness mattresses, soft duvets and luxury cotton sheets, and you’ll find a generous bundle of soft white towels in each room. There is also a step-free route from the side door of Park Cottage to the back door of Park House. There are two ramps on the route and no steps into Park House. There are steps within Park House. Pets and service dogs are welcome if arranged in advance.

Exterior Details
The living room extends out onto an area of decking equipped with al fresco dining furniture and a BBQ, and the cottage also has a private garden. Our small walled garden is wheelchair-friendly and is also fitted with handrails.  A variety of birds visit the garden and our little nesting box is regularly in use. Surrounding the cottage there are 22 acres of grounds which house a whole variety of gardens and corners. These include the Main Garden on the south side of the house, a small (fenced) pond, an Orchard (a meadow with old apple trees, mature limes, abundant cowslips, a bog garden and a wild garden), Bushey Close (a field beyond the Orchard), a Walled Garden, a games field with football, basketball, badminton and a children's play area, a barbecue, a Kitchen Garden and ponds which are abundantly supplied with newts.  EV charging point available for guest use.

Further Details
The house and gardens are looked after by an excellent team and we provide a generous hamper of local foods, carefully chosen wines and locally produced apple juice on arrival. We can offer superb cooks if you would like someone to prepare for a special occasion and a natural beauty therapist if you need pampering. We can arrange a variety of special events and activities from horse-drawn carriage rides, archery and falconry in the gardens to a hot air balloon over Cheddar Gorge. We also offer the services of All Being Well (co-founded by the owner of the house), which provides mediation, coaching, leadership and other personal and business development services. We work hard to support our local community and to do our bit to help the environment. Cossington Park is non-profit-making. All revenues are ploughed back into the estate so that it may be enjoyed by future as well as present generations.

Conditions of Rental
Check out time is 10am, check in after 4pm. There is plenty of off-road parking.  The cottage is non-smoking and well behaved dogs are welcome.
